I've just started reading Watership Down so have rabbits on the brain - here are three different images which all portray rabbits using varying techniques. I feel they all capture the essence of rabbit-ness perfectly, from the thumping back legs, to twitching nose, ears are pricked - alert and watching for danger.

Reminds me of sitting on the Ranmore hills last summer and watching them scurrying around in and out of their warrens amongst the hedgerows in the fading sunlight
